What Ten Thousand stores, why, and who can see it. Last updated 17 August 2026, for v1.0.
Ten Thousand is a scorekeeper for the dice game of the same name. You roll real dice and tap the score into the app. There is no account and no login — the short version is that the only thing it holds is what you type in to keep score, and it is never sold or used to advertise to you.
Only what you enter to keep score:
No real name, email, phone, contacts, photos, microphone, location, health data, browsing history, or advertising identifiers. There is no analytics or advertising SDK in the app, and nothing is sold.
You never sign in. Instead of a login, a group is identified by a short group code you make up or are given. Anyone who enters the same code can see and add to that group's games — that is how you share one scoreboard with the people you play with. Share the code only with them.
Anyone holding your group code, on any device. Groups are separate: someone with a different code cannot see your group's games. Because the trust is the code itself, treat it like the key to the scoreboard.
The companion Apple TV app is read-only. It shows a live game to whoever enters the temporary stream code displayed on the scoring phone, and stores nothing beyond that code on the TV. Cross-group “link codes,” used to view one player's combined stats across groups, are kept only on your own device.
On your device, and in Google Firebase (Realtime Database) in the United States, under your group code. Google processes it on our behalf; see the Firebase Privacy and Security and Google Privacy Policy.
You can delete individual games in the app, and leaving a group removes that group's data from your device. To have a group's cloud data erased entirely, write to the address below and it will be removed.
Ten Thousand is a casual score tracker and is not directed at children under 13. It does not knowingly collect personal information beyond the player names a user chooses to type in.
This policy may change as the app evolves; material changes will be shown here with a new date.
